Welcome to Strider. By using our mobile application, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. About Strider

Strider is a platform that helps runners plan and join group running sessions. We facilitate connections between runners but do not organize, supervise, or participate in the runs themselves.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Strider. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your account credentials secure
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Maintaining accurate profile information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use

When using Strider, you agree to:

• Treat other users with respect and courtesy
• Provide accurate information about runs you create
• Show up to runs you've committed to joining, or notify others if you can't make it
• Use appropriate language in chats and profiles
• Respect the privacy and safety of other users

You agree NOT to:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Create fake accounts or impersonate others
• Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Use Strider for commercial purposes without permission
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the app
• Use Strider for any illegal activities

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (profile info, run details, chat messages, photos). By posting content, you grant Strider a license to use, display, and distribute it within the app to provide our services.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you post and that it doesn't violate others' rights.

6. Safety and Risk

You acknowledge that:

• You participate in runs at your own risk
• Strider does not verify the identity, background, or fitness level of users
• Strider does not supervise, organize, or take responsibility for runs
• You should use your own judgment when meeting people and participating in activities
• You are responsible for your own health, safety, and physical fitness

We encourage you to:

• Meet in public places
• Let someone know where you're going
• Trust your instincts about people and situations
• Consult a doctor before starting any exercise program

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that harms other users or Strider. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

8. Modifications to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of Strider at any time. We'll try to give notice of significant changes, but some changes may be immediate.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Strider is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The app will be available at all times or error-free
• Other users will behave appropriately or show up to runs
• Information provided by users is accurate

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strider and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:

• Injuries or accidents during runs
• Interactions with other users
• Loss of data or content
• Service interruptions

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Strider harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes through the app. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
